Once best known for his term of office in the rap social unit House of Pain, Everlast successfully reinvented himself in 1998 with the best-selling Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, a for the most part acoustic, hip-hop-flavored endeavour in the genre-crossing cast of Beck. Born Erik Schrody, Everlast first surfaced in Los Angeles as a member of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate Cartel, issuance his debut album, Everlastingly Everlasting, in 1990. When the album failed to ascertain an audience, he formed House of Pain with Danny Boy and DJ Lethal; carving out an prototype which drew heavy on Everlast and Danny Boy's shared Irish inheritance, the triple managed to get the better of the stereotypes facing white rappers and scored a massive murder with their 1992 individual "Spring Around." Their self-titled debut LP besides went atomic number 78, only when follow-ups including 1994's Same as It Ever Was and 1996's Truth Crushed to Earth Shall Rise Again failed to repeat House of Pain's early succeeder, the group disbanded. Everlast then returned to his solo career, only while recording Whitey Ford Sings the Blues he suffered a massive cardiac nab stemming from a innate defect, resulting in heart shunt surgery and an unreal valve implant. Following his recovery, he completed the album, which appeared in the fall of 1998 to strong commercial-grade notices: hit the Top Ten, going atomic number 78, and launching the Top 40 individual "What It's Like." After coming into court on Santana's vaunted comeback album Supernatural, Everlast began exploit on a review with an eclectic group of guest artists. Titled Consume at Whitey's, the album was released in later 2000, and enjoyed critical notice even if it wasn't quite as succesful as Whitey Ford. Everlast then returned in 2004 with the dwight Lyman Moody, more song-driven White Trash Beautiful.

H-Dhami, Sadke Java

After the successful and award-winning number one innings of newcomer H-Dhami with his single Sadke Java, hes back with his first album and the same title, produced under the keen eye of veteran British-Asian music producer, Rishi Rich. Rich's known for his talent-spotting and this album will do goose egg less. The Rishi Rich imprint is prevalent all over the album, and rather obscures the talents of H-Dhami. Nonetheless, it's a vibrant and up-and-coming album that guarantees a bobbing auditor all summertime long!

The title track is the offset to hit you and it instantly grabs your attention with jiving beat generation addition the remix version is equal to it. Mitra Di Jaan and Nachdi Vekhna should bring back a watercourse of memories with its recognisable tune and bassline from a couple days back. Perhaps this is playing it too safe, but it does work. Other songs with recognizable tunes include Akh Lad Gayee (the Bollywood original is much hastier), along with a more traditional take on Lute Gaai.

All the songs on this album are quite quick paced though Har Gabroo is a bit mellower. H-Dhamis vocals take on an unusual quality here, rendering the song adorable and sincere. The same goes for Heeriye another track that will stand kayoed due to its lingering tune. However the high spot is for sure Dho Nain. Yes it may at first sound like an average tune, but H-Dhami's rendition stands out. For a new artist, he sounds exceptionally seasoned and experienced. Well done Rishi I think you've found a successor!
